Windows Central Question
This is really just a complaint.
I almost switched to Edge. I actually used it as my default for a while. I was also considering switching to outlook as my default e-mail. But, then, when doing some research, my computer went to a grinding halt.
I opened task manager and saw that Edge (and Photo) was using an inordinate amount of CPU cycles. Each Edge page was using CPU cycles. And the idle Edge pages were using as much as the ones actively drawing the page. And, Photo was also using a lot of cycles.
I decided to try Chrome for the same research. When Edge (one page) was using 10-15% of the cpu, Chrome was using 3%. So, I have to switch back to Chrome.
And, the claim that Edge is faster is a lie.
It irritates me that all major developers (Microsoft, Google, Apple) try to hijack your computer to force you towards their products. Nothing I can do about it. I only hope, that some day, you will get your comeuppance.
