Editing and saving files in One Drive on my tablet

I have Windows 10, and use Office 2010 Home and Student.

I have an Android tablet running version 6.0.1

I have started to use One Drive to store files so that they are available to me on my laptop and tablet. However, when I edit a document on my tablet, the amended version does not appear on my laptop.

Are there any settings I should be changing to make this happen?
