Encryption Not Working

Hi there,

I cannot encrypt my laptop with Windows 10 Home on the Device Encryption page.

It says You need a Microsoft Account to finish encrypting the device.

So I click sign in with a Microsoft account go to the Your Info page.

I sign out of my gmail account and sign in with my Microsoft Account (although it still says my old account on the Your Info page).

Go back to the Device Encryption page and it still says You need a Microsoft Account to finish encrypting the device.

So I click sign in with Microsoft Account goto Your Info page (for some reason it still says my displays my gmail account) and I click manage my account and it takes me to my Microsoft Account.

So I am signed into to my Microsoft account (even though it shows my gmail account) and I cannot finish encrypting my device because it says I am not signed into my Microsoft Account when I am when I click on manage my account.

What's the fix? A factory reset? How do I sign out and sign in again as an admind a different way?
