I have it too and it works well, it was taken out because that was windows phone 7 version, whatsapp wp8 version is 6 times faster and overall much improved, so yeah I'll take it.

Apparently there is going to be a "roll out" and only certain markets will see it on Sunday and the rest gradually early next week. - don't quote me, I just read a random dude's blog claiming "sources" etc.
