So to put it simply s4 caps at 20 megapixels so this chipset is either an s4 + dedicated camera chip or s400(I don't know the cap on s400) thoughts?

I heard it's an AMD 486 DX-40 with a Cyrix math co-processor. I'm overjoyed :-)

Looking forward to the announcement too. Less than 12 hours now.

snap 800 will be next gen platform I guess.. after blue ships

I can't wait to learn what they did.. I am betting on a additional GPU inside the camera module, just like on the 808

1.5GHz Dual-core Snapdragon S4......
S4!!!!!.....

WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE INFORM NOKIA THAT THEY SHOULDNT BE USING 2+ YEAR OLD SOC's IN THEIR FLAGSHIP DEVICES

and if I hear 1 more ***** proclaim "well windows phone doesn't need 4 cores" YES IT FREAKING DOES, the adreno 320/330 is SO much better than the 225 and its pointless to throw away the extra power when they both use the same amount. WP8 browsing need more pep in its step and a faster CPU would handle that.

I really, really wanted this phone, but it looks like I'll save my contract upgrades for something like a 930. BUT SO HELP ME GOD IF THEY PUT IN AN S4 I WILL LOSE MY MIND.

I have a 4+ year old CPU in my gaming desktop and it runs faster than most CPUs available today. Why upgrade?

The reason for this is because it is unnecessary. Sure, we all want to see low power quad cores but a pissing contest in hardware gets you nowhere. It's the user experience that matters.

Your desktop PC is not thermally constraint though and doesn't need good battery life. The problem is, this is like Nokia selling you a 4+ year old CPU when everyone else is using current CPU's, but for the same price. Yes, they all run Windows fine but obviously you want the one with the most performance, faster browsing, and a longer life for your device. Nokia could have also adopted a newer CPU with similar performance and less power consumption (more advanced dual-core) but instead picked the oldest CPU possible. 9 Months into WP8 and we still have the same hardware being sold as a "flagship" shipped with different gimmicks. Unnacceptable. I'm going to have to wait for the 930 and I really didn't want to.

Looks like I gotta hang onto my 822 a while longer :/
$299 = absolute dealbreaker with those specs

Now we can start waiting on the 930 :)

Yeah I agree $299 is pretty expensive, I guess unless you consider the 41MP camera that MIGHT make up for the price - but still for a phone that's super expensive. Also, 32GB seems like hardly any memory - especially if you're saving a 5MP and a 38MP image with every shot that you take...

I think I'm going to get one though since my contract is up and my 920 screen is cracked :/

Why do people feel it's costly...the Iphone 5 comes for the same price for a 32 GB Model...and S4-16 GB is also 199

It's a little disappointing that the 1020 is going to miss out on better hardware specs but this is what Nokia do.

As things stand, I still want a 1020 but things can change rather quickly in the mobile world so who knows what will happen over the next few months?
