Estimation of XL price in Canada/US?

Now that we know it'll be selling for 220 pounds in the UK, we can estimate that it'll be priced somewhere around $350-400 CDN in Canada. I'm a little worried about this, because we've been promised it will be in the $150-250 range, and now they jack the prices way up. I was really, really looking forward to this phone, but now I guess I have to wait until the holidays again. Sighs.

IMO you will see ~ $ 149 or $199 with carrier locked for 640 and ~249 or 299 for XL.

Considering the Canadian dollar is tanking right now I'd say the price for the XL will be somewhere between $319 and $349

My bet is $330 for the AT&T 640 XL (in late April hopefully). And $279-299 for the unlocked 640 XL LTE with North America band support (later in May).

Do you think AT&T will offer 640 XL LTE in late April, or will we have to wait until later for LTE version?

AT&T will only carry the LTE version. Usually AT&T wouldn't put a page up much more that a month before pre-order/on-sale dates. This has been up for a few weeks already: AT&T

Hi, where's your source for such information? The product page lists the non LTE 640 XL variant. I chatted with an AT&T rep as well as called and both reps told me they have no information as to whether they will carry the LTE version at this time.

I was looking forward to trying out a Windows phone, but if the 640 XL is going for anywhere near $300 I'm sticking with Android. Sorry, but that phone with those (mostly) low end specs is not a $300 phone in 2015. I'd pay $250 at most for the LTE variant, if not it's the Oneplus or Zenfone 2 or Note 3 for me.

Hi, what source are you going by? The product page only lists the non LTE variant. I chatted with and called AT&T and both reps told me they have no information as to whether or not they will be carrying the LTE variant.

It is an LTE version. Look at the pictures on the page :) Also, other posts in this forum list all the variants for the 640 and 640 XL that passed through the FCC. The AT&T variant has LTE bands. Trust me, AT&T isn't going to sell this without LTE. There will be non LTE versions (and LTE but not with AT&T bands supported) from other sources.

$280 is too much for what you get. No way am I paying that much for the XL. If it's not under $250 U.S. for the LTE variant, I'm going with the Asus Zenfone 2 or a Note 3.
