Windows Central Question

Ok so I got a book from the Windows store, expecting to not be locked into the Windows ecosystem. By this I mean I planned to read the book on my PC but also be able to copy the file of the book onto my android phone so I could read anywhere. This is clearly not the case, and now I have to look into buying books from Amazon, since I will be able to read anywhere with their programs. I know Edge is supported to get book synchronization on mobile, but at this rate it's not worth just waiting.

tl;dr: I wanna read my books from the Windows store on my android phone by copying the .epub file onto my phone... how do I do this?
