I've blown two seagate external USB hard drives.
This happened because I plugged them into a non powered USB hub. Later I learned why it happened.
I now have a surface pro 4 and am in the market for yet another drive for backups.
I don't want to break the bank for a powered USB hub and Im on a limited data plan so cloud is out. Alternatively I was thinking about flash drives. Are they viable with a non powered hub? All I need is 128gb which is plenty.
