Extremely loud call tone

I have just been offered a replacement of my old device, also a Lumia 800. The previous handset had a call tone (the tone in your ear when calling someone- before the person picks up) so loud that it cracked the earpiece over time. Every second call tone is extremely loud ( i have to hold the phone away from my ear) followed by a normal call tone at normal volume. This, however happens rendomly with different numbers.
It turns out that this is the exact same thing with the new device. I have absolutly no idea what causes this - please help me out here. :shocked::amaze::sweaty:

It sounds like many of the Lumia's have the same issues. I have a 900 and it's the same way. With the volume set at 1/30, the ringtones are so loud it's almost unbearable.
