Facebook Notifications

Anyone know how to Facebook notifications working on WP8 (GDR3)? They used to work fine and then sorta just stopped working one day.

This is with both Facebook and Facebook Beta app.

Wondering what I'm doing wrong since the notifications work fine on the People Hub and other platforms.

Have you tried to uninstall the app and to reinstall it again?

Facebook (beta) is famous due to its late/no notifications (see: http://forums.windowscentral.com/wi...tures-discussions-rants-issues-solutions.html check the last few pages)

I have always had the same issue on a l820 and now a new l720 (which I much prefer). I just don't get notifications with std FB or FB beta. I have both Viber and Skype and get them always.

Thanks for the info. I've reinstalled the app and even factory reset my phone. I'll check out the referenced thread and see what I find.

I've read that post. Seems everyone is having the problem of not receiving toast notifications. Even with GDR2 I cannot get FB message notifications.

Okay. That makes me feel somewhat better. Worried that I setup something incorrectly.

I'm using Facebook Beta on Lumia 928 running GDR3, and have noticed that my notifications are counted, but don't come to the phone until someone comments on the same post as me. Then I get the notification, plus the last 15. When opening the app after that, it's only one notification, and it's that someone else commented too.

same here on gdr3 att l920 ! I thought it was the gdr3 update

I don't seem to have the same problems as many of you, but this is rediculous! Why can't MS and FB work together to get this to work properly. It's been nearly 4 years since WP7 came out and it still has issues. From what I understand it works fine with iOS and Android, why is it so difficult with WP? I don't care who's fault it is, just get it working properly.

Its not the App that isnt working , its Zuckerberg's gang.

Thats a relief. I did the 8.1 upgrade followed by the interop unlock on my Ativ s this morning and then did some registry changed.
Then when I saw the facebook errors I was afriad I had broke my handset, but I see now that the facebook website is not working right as nothing can be posted/liked etc.
