Facebook sync problem

So my facebook has 50 people on it. I have 49 of the 50 contact sync. I know, I know. What's the big deal, 1 of 50 aint bad. The deal is this one contact happen to be my best friend so I have to have it. This is what I have tried to get that one contact down.
1. Attempted a manual sync of FB. No good.
2. Attempted to delete and re-add FB. No bueno.
3. Did a phone reset and re-add accounts. No go.
I have no more solutions. Any else has this problem and know how to solve it? Thanks.

Ive heard the persons facebook settings itself can limit the syncing bc fb looks at windows phone as a 3rd party application, so perhaps he should check his privacy settings?
