Anyone having this problem with facebook not updating or still showing post from 11 hours to a day ago .

It's not a bug, this is the new news feed for FB, if you want the old one (most recent) go to the last page on the app, you'll find it there

yes I have been having the same problem during the last 2 months and it sucks
The reviews of the Facebook app on WP store are staggering and more than half of the people give only one star, and yet I can not find a single article about the problem.

Where are all the tech journos when you need them!? Obviously they are only good at copying PR materials companies send them. What a pathetic lot

well turns out problem is lot older and that it is facebook policy to push "top stories" by default and you can not change it to "most recent". this way facebook can show you more paid publications and commercials in your news feed.
the way I solved it - uninstalled official app and downloaded instead a third party. It is called JDB for Facebook and I am still trying it but so far it seems fine and will do the job, although it looks a bit ugly. It allows quite a lot of personification though and even lets you send PM within the app.

There is a solution to this problem.
follow this:
Go to facebook last page.
under the Category Feeds it has one that's called more recent
Press it..
then you will see the most recent feeds..
then you cantab the 3 dots and pin it to your start screen. So that it will be more easy to see the recent posts only by one click.
