FB messenger and allow app on background bug

Fb messenger and battery saver works before that it had a option for allow on background. But now it is like a normal app without background feature. It doesnt have an option to allow the app on background

I recently got the same bug! I've tried re-install it but nothing worked. Please tell me if you get it to work!

I noticed it vanished as well a while ago.

Don't know for sure, but I heard it was tied to Facebook at one point.
