Field Test Working Again on ATT

You need to make sure to set it back before you apply any updates however in case they disable it again. I left it disabled last update when they removed the Field Test and had to do a factory reset to enable LTE again.

I can vouch for this. I had the same issue and had to go back to the prior ROM.

Although I can get into field test mode, when I select 3g only it doesn't stay that way. I toggled ENS to "OFF" and selected "3G only", backed out and restarted the phone. When I went back into settings it said "automatic" under network type again although ENS was still off. I disabled my network connection, went through the process again, and had the same issue. It just isn't sticking. Even without restarting the phone, and going back into field test immediately after making the change it still isn't sticking.

Also, do you guys think changing the polling frequency to 9 seconds would change battery life without a change in usability?

Is it the same basic options as before where it can be set to 2G? I have to be able to set it to 2G otherwise I will have to stay with my 1249 ROM.

You are right, mine also shows automatic when going back into Field test though LTE has been disabled for me throughout the day. I did a reboot just now to test and its the same(showing 4G vs LTE) but I also haven't left the house so i cant discount a service disruption.

My son and I updated our 920s and we didn't end up with the same OS version as you did, John. We ended up with 8.0.10328.78. How did you get the newer OS version? Also, ##3282 and ##3282# work to get to the field test menu. With the previous ROM where the field test menu was accessible only ##3282 worked.
