Films & TV app in my W10 Mobile using 757MB of my phone memory

Windows Central Question

After updating Films & TV app recently (around a month) in my Nokia Lumia 730, I noticed that the app is consuming 757MB of my phone memory. This has made my phone memory full! I tried storage cleaner and other apps, but was unable to clean up the memory used by this app.

Anyone with same issue? Or is it just me?
If anyone has a workaround, please help me.
I tried soft and hard resets already!

Hi, the Films & TV app are using 33.3 MB on my Lumia 650.
Do you have any video clips on your phone?
Also what OS version are you running on your phone? (Settings > System > About...More info > OS build:)

Hi there, Thanks for a response.

Yes earlier even my app used to be around 40MB.
I don't have any videos on my phone memory, all videos are at my SD card.
I am running the latest W10 Mobile build : 10.0.14393.321

All i can recollect is opening this app and browsing/viewing some videos(present at SD card) on my phone.
After few days, i noticed that my phone memory got full and this app was the culprit.
Needless to say, I did a soft reset. I guess its some cached data which is consuming the memory?
But then when the Films & TV app was updated at store, i updated my app too, thinking the problem will solve.:unhappysweat: But nothing changed!

Help me please! Now every time i get a low storage warning:crying:

Hi, welcome to the forums!
It's a bit strange that you are having the issue after a hard reset. Can I ask how you are doing the hard reset?
The other thing that might be happening is something in the backup is corrupt when you are restoring your phone.

Thanks for your response.

I had done a factory reset.
Yeah maybe there was some corrupt data in my backup causing the issue.
I will do a reset again this weekend and update you!
Hope for the best
