Do any of your guys screen jitter a bit when scrolling fast on the start screen or internet or any apps? I see text up and down like screen tearing for a millisecond.

lock is almost instant, indoors it takes sometimes maximum 5 secs till exact location.
ANd what? Without mobile data? Yes of course,....GPS? ?!

I guess he means if you go to setting, then slide sideways and choose maps, can you download your location? In theory that means the phone support offline maps, GPS.

My phone isn't vibrating when I get a notification or when I touch the capacitive buttons...anyone else having that issue?
Is the rest of vibration function works? For calling/messaging/games? I had my old Samsung does this, no vibration on calls, turns out the motor is dead straight out the box. If everything works, it just might be a feature (saves battery) or you haven't enable it or it's a bug.

It doesn't seem to be working at all. I wasn't sure if a bug could cause this or if it was a faulty motor. I checked all of the settings and it should be working.

I purchased my 830 off of ebay, no official packaging or anything. I guess and early build. Thing is the glance feature and glance options in the settings menu is missing. Its just blank. A real disappointment. But overall the phone is a slight upgrade over my 920 so I'm still quite pleased.

Try updating Glance ( not Glance Background) from SysApp Pusher, that should add the other features you're missing.

I seem to be getting more pixels in 4:3 mode.

Of course that's how it always is.

Where are you from? I find that many non Americans prefer Nokia's Lumia over iPhone or android.
Is Nokia really still king globally?

Just "upgraded" from the 920, would never go back - equal or slightly better in virtually every way, LOVE the design and the WEIGHT, THINNESS (didn't think that I would from the pictures), my 920 looks chubby now. screen is nice but viewing angles are worse than the 920.

I've commented a lot on the quality /slash viewing angles of the screen, but one advantage to L830 - smudges. Seriously, my L920 required constant cleaning out my family would be "ewwwww, not touching your phone". Aside from the visuals, L830 easier to "swipe" the keyboard... Not sure what they put on the L920 screen, but 830 better on that front

Congrats on your new Lumia 830. Its a great phone. Glad to hear that you are happy using Windows Phone. At the start it might look big but down the line you will start feeling it small trust me.

Well I'm from India and no, Nokia is really not the king anymore here! These days it's cheap Android phones that are ruling in India. Three of my team mates have the Moto G!! BUT...Lumia phones are slowly picking up. Before Android happened, Nokia was the go-to brand for mobiles and I think there is still an undercurrent of that trust even today. :)

Well, a tiny bit slower of course.

Well actually, I used this phone for 3 days without a SIM card (don't ask why, third world problems :p) and the GPS lock was instant!!

I didn't even have to press any button or something. I travelled in a train yesterday, and no matter when I opened, it showed me where I was precisely! And Here Offline maps kicks ***!!
