First Windows Phone 10 build shows up

Yep, it's happening. Today, the first Windows Phone 10 build showed up (http://www.computemark.com/wpb/index.php?osses=true&), being build 10.0.11345.

Just an issue here: this crushes the rumor that Windows Phone 8.15 is Windows Phone 10. A couple of builds showed up with that number, but as Microsoft is already working with 10.0 (and the build number itself is lower than 8.15's 12xxx), this seems unlikely.

Exciting times ahead.

Unless the western world has suddenly abandoned base ten, I am pretty sure 10.X is a larger number than 8.X. BTW, naming and numbering are arbitrary conventions, not the eleventh commandment. If people also actually followed the convention literally WP8 and Windows RT both should have been 1.X since they are not derived from a preceding OS. One started over (WP8 abandoned the Windows Mobile/Embedded model) and the other was literally new.

Regarding the build numbers, all that has changed is that the 8.xx.xxx has changed to 10.0.xxxx.

So, if we had build 8.15.12xxx, this should change to 10.0.12xxx. In fact the build number is 10.0.11345 which IS lower than 8.15.12xxx.

You do know that it goes Major version.Minor version.Build number, don't you?

Last time I checked a major version number is of greater importance than a build number, therefore 10.0.11345 IS higher than 8.15.12xxx!!!

We've seen lower build numbers of the Windows Tech Preview with more features than the fast ring releases.
