Flah generic WP8 instead of ATT one?

I updated my ATT branded Lumia 920 to Win8.1 and am loving it, Data Sense and FM radio included. If they remove those apps in their OTA update when it comes out, is there a way to flash a non ATT version of WP to my phone to get it back? Has anyone done that for WP8? How?

Yes you can, but I do warn you: This will break internet sharing and from what I'm going through now, even with the keyboard trick, you won't be able to get it back. I'm on 8.1 DP as well.

I wouldn't recommend this on a 920 either. Same reason as mentioned above. Internet Sharing is permanently broken. More importantly, once you flash the AT&T Lumia 920 to something else, you can pretty much never go back to stock, unfortunately.

Well if internet sharing isn't special to you then I say go for it. Other than that issue, flashing was great.

I would say that flashing will void your warranty, but it didn't for me with AT&T (Their lead technicians know nothing about the WP platform, which was proven to me with my recent warranty exchange fiasco with the L920 and a flashed EU Rom on it; I was recommended to send the phone back due to the "mysterious" firmware change--go figure). So I say do as you please!
