Hi
I have a Lumia 930 phone (+mic #3 & #4 problem). I want to upgrade it's firmware,

FROM:
PackageTitle: RM-1045 VAR APAC HK CV BLACK
Product Code: 059W0J7
manufacturerHardwareModel: RM-1045
Last Firmware: 02540.00019.15053.26005

TO:
PackageTitle: RM-1045 VAR EURO GB CV BLACK
Product Code: 059W004
manufacturerHardwareModel: RM-1045
Last Firmware: 02540.00019.15235.40008

My question is: can i use another product code on my phone? This upgrade can damage to my phone?
What is difference between mention firmware versions?

Thanks

Yup, however make sure your phone is fully charged before flashing.

It should be fine providing your PC doesn't crash in the process If that happens you will need to get into the bootloader to reflash and leave your phone plugged in.

To get in the bootloader, soft reset and hold the volume up button + whilst holding the power button just after it or before the phone vibrates. Keep holding it until the nokia logo switches to the top.

It may take multiple tries.

Also there is on peculiar behaviour I noticed, sometimes I could get into the boot by just pressing power button then volume up button (in quick succession) after a soft reboot.

The safest bet is to always the same model number firmware in this case 1045. Flashing a different variants rom will cause damage unless you know what you are doing and have equipment handy for recovery.

Hi there.
If you are going from a China variant fw to a European fw the default language settings will be different but can be switched during setup. Other than that I do not know of a way to tell what is updated or not between two different variants. It is not a major revsion as the first two numbers are the same between the two 02540.00019.xxxxx.xxxxx, is that fw version suppose to fix the mic problem or provide something the China version does not?

Edit: Actually I think I see now how the revision numbers differ. I had to think about it...so I assume the earlier version fw tend to have an issue with the mics working properly, correct?

Also, It looks like you picked the right fw to move to considering that one is one of several that are Country Variants and not an operator based variant. If you flash an operator variant ffu you could end up switching the carrier provisioning for the OS and it will affect how your sim card and other network realated info get provisioned to the phone when it boots after the flash/reset.
