Flickering (Blinking) Screen...

How long have you had this problem? It's possible that you got some dust into the ambient light sensor. In which case, send it for repair.

I have this problem since I bought it. It still happens when I disable automatic brightness.

I have this same problem aes well, since I bought it.. and my unit is not defected (dust in the sensor), It seems to be software or something problem from what I've read and it's a common problem..

I saw one ''tutorial'' to fix it and it actually helped, wait for the night, go to your room (a very dark room, more dark = better), put your finger in the sensor and soft reset the phone.. it helped me, now it flickers much much less and with much less intensity as well..

Hi. I had tried this tutorial before but it didn't help. Anyways I can try it again. Shall I "put my finger on the sensor, power off and soft reset" or; "power off, put my finger on the sensor and soft reset"? Thanks.
NOTE: I still don't think that this tutorial will solve my problem. Because the problem isn't gone when auto brigtness is disabled.

and so as mine didn't disappear, that ''tutorial'' just made it happen with much less intensity and less frequent as well.. put your finger and soft reset it and wait for it to turn on completely =)

this is a very very common problem, it's related to the bright sensor, I bet any update they will fix it, looking forward for it

You can always download the Care suit and run your phone in Test mode, then recalibrate your proximity sensor.. Works for me!

It's a known screen defect - get it exchanged. Had that on one of mine as well.

:( I hope it was that easy in here, Turkey. They don't accept device's problem. They just reinstall firmware and send it back.

this problem doesn't bother me anymore, I got used to it.. no chance to send to nokia care and wait for weeks to receive my phone without even knowing if they will fix it
