FM radio not working on L520

Amber update brought FM radio in music+videos hub . But whenever I plug in my earphones I only hear the irritating sound and not even a trace of sensible FM . I guess the chips been activated but there's something still wrong. I hope future update will fix this .Anyone else having this prob?

Might be hardware issue.

Are you sure there are FM stations in your region? (sorry I have to ask this)

no .. Only the default nokia headset , and I have not yet reset my phone . I will try all this . Thanks
