Well....... Good question. According to the FCC, the only issue with the legal side of things would be range that this thing has. It's rated at 6 miles clear line of site, which violates the definition of a micro broadcasting station. The true range is around 1.5 to 2 miles, which still violates the micro definition. If you don't broadcast over another signal in use, odds are, you'll be OK. I live out of the city limits here, and broadcast Groove Music around my house....and neighborhood.
Yes, still violating the micro broadcasting rule, but, hey, it's a pirate station. Ha ha Stickin' it to the man. Lol
It would be perfect for people who live on a piece of land out in the country.
