For Canadians, is it still better to use US region for Cortana

I was on US region, then had issues buying some apps, flipped to Canada, now debating if Cortana is significantly better for US.
I know lots of changes have come over

The 8.1 version of Cortana for Canada is still better than the latest w10m US version in my opinion. I like to use Cortana in the car to select songs to play, 10 is a no go. If you haven't noticed anything missing yet, then I wouldn't wory too much about it. I'm not sure why a big deal is made about regions, its not like I'm going to ask questions about serviettes, honey dill sauce, poutine or chesterfields. Well maybe, where I can find the best poutine.

I have the opposite problem for purchases. I have to leave my phone on the US region or it will default to charging app purchases to the Rogers account which can't be disabled. This is really bad for me because I'm using a corporate sim card.
