Force Lumia Selfie to take a picture

Hello,
I've been trying Lumia Selfie and like it for the most part. But sometimes it take a long time to focus, or I have to rotate the phone or body. Any way to force it to take a photo? It's difficult to have to press the phone button or touch the opposite side of the screen. I just want it to force it to take a picture.

Have you tried the self-timer already? You can find it in the app bar menu.
