Forwarded contact details

I forwarded contact details on Whatsapp & it sent our last message as well!! well How embarrassing!!!
How do I prevent this happening again?

That seems like a WhatsApp problem. But i'd try forwarding yourself contact information and see if you can reproduce the problem. I suspect that this was a one time occurrence.
