Wanted to share my second app, hopefully some of you find it useful.

Movie Blaze | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States)

Movie Blaze is an app for finding movie information and keeping track of the movies you want to see and those you have already seen.

With TheMovieDB at its core, Movie Blaze provides access to its large movie database that is constantly being updated. All this information is complemented by data from IMDb, Flixster and Rotten Tomatoes.

The app can be customized in a number of ways, so that you can better organize your movies and see the information that is important to you.

Features:
• Quick access to upcoming, now playing, popular and top rated movie lists
• Detailed movie and actor information
• Organize your movies in favorites and watchlist
• Movie guide, combines your favorites and watchlist movies
• All your tracked movies are kept offline so you always have access to them
• Mark movies that you’ve seen
• Discover new movies by genre, rating, release date and more
• Search for movies and people
• Customizable live tile lets you pick the movie data that you are most interested in
• Customize how the app looks and what data you want to see
• Group and sort the movie lists in various ways
• Calendar view
• Pin movies and people to your home screen

You have access to all app features, but some require the unlocked version to be permanently saved.

In app unlock features:
• No ads
• Pin movies and people to your home screen
• Background agent that keeps the live tile updated
The following settings can be permanently saved:
• Live tile customizations
• Home view customizations
• Movie list group/sort settings

I absolutely love this app much more than the Manga one because I am a huge movie goer. This totally replaces Movie Reminder for me

Would it be possible to have reminders as a notification in the NC as an option?

Also possible to port this to W8.1?

There seems to be a small bug with the live tile.

It's not exactly showing the the next up coming movie when choosing "coming up movies" but instead showing a movie next month instead.

i.e
Godzilla = skip
XMen = skip
Maleficent = skip
How to train a dragon = shown

Also it doesn't flip to the back tile for me...unless I'm doing it wrong

Hi,

That's a nice idea, I'll make sure to add the option to do so.

I'll be upgrading all my apps to WP8.1, to make use of the additional live tiles at the very least.

Is there anything WP8.1 specific that you have in mind?

For the live tiles, are you using just the "coming up movies" option or one of the others?
Because the other options either pick a random coming up movie or rotate the coming up movies.

Also make sure that you accidently didn't disable the back tile, it's in the settings for the back tile.

I just tried it myself, and it's working fine, but I'll look into this.

Is it possible to have a universal preset reminder option for all the movies rather than having to go into the movie to set up a reminder? like One ring to rule them all.

btw never mind about the Windows 8.1 app I keep forgetting I have TMDB.

The universal reminder option is a nice idea.
I'll make sure to add it to the settings, so that reminders can be added automatically for coming up movies when you add them to favorites/wathclist and also be able to set reminders for all coming up movies.
