Frozen Lumia 800 on Vodafone screen

Hi

My Nokia Lumia 800 has always worked fine, never had any major issues but this morning it completely froze up. I followed the soft start instructions but now it will only turn on when on charge and only gets as far as the vodafone logo appearing then freezes. I am really concerned as i have a load of photos that are stored on the device. Any one any ideas how i can bring it back to life or at least get the photo's? I have contacted Nokia but they will wipe the handset back to factory settings if i send it in for repair which will mean me losing all of the photos!

Unfortunately, if you had not uploaded your pictures to SkyDrive or to your PC using Zune, there really is no way to recover them if a hard reset is done.
