Ok, so here's a different perspective. I traded my Palm Treo 800 in for an HTC EVO the day it came out. I did this for the hardware and for the first shot at 4G. Now for the life of my EVO, i've watched WP7 on the horizon, get released and have been following this site every day. I'm terribly disappointed in the way things are going.

First, some android criticisms: I check the AC site everyday...I love all the handsets, the the culture makes me want to vomit. So, the fact that your phone works as an actual phone, and you can browse the net and sent texts and take pictures....well, that's not really that important. What's empowers you is the fact that you have OS tasty freeze or whatever. Its just...silly. And i'm sick of it. Ok, so the 'closed system' is offputting to many, but now i'm quite sure that's the way to go.

iOS. Ok, so you jump in and you're captive to their eco-system. I'll grant that it's very cool, but, also not my thing.

So, i would LOVE to try WP7. I want a WP tablet that i can actually edit power points in and actually get some work done with. I want this to talk seamlessly with my phone. So aside from the fact that i will NOT leave Sprint, and will NOT buy a slider phone, i have to mention that I'm pretty disappointed that the majority of the articles on this site for the past year deal with xbox integration or silly ...silly games. When will WP7 kind of get serious about it's productivity/Office integration? I mean, wasn't that the original deal with Windows Mobile? Getting work done? I understand trying to grab some of the kiddie money that apple's been raking in for these years, but, it's been over a year, and I still have only one crappy handset option. ...and have yet to see the word "Professional" anywhere in any of the branding. Now, "Nokia" is going to save the day? Ok, great ...two more handset options. I want badly for this to work. And I want badly to jump in...but i have to say i'm pessimistic at this point. Another year for slates? Really? I'm not a "G" guy, and my EVO is getting long in the tooth. But if I trade it in for the Sprint WP7 handset, it would be a downgrade.

Sorry. Had to get this off my chest.

Good things come to those who wait its unfortunate but you never know whats going to happen. Maybe this is a sign to not buy WP7 and buy WP8 when Sprint gets it

There is Office already built in. No, it is not as full functional as desktop program; but, I mean, it is a small touchscreen interface; it is not really possible to do all that stuff.

It is trivial to synch in with Skydrive and access info from Phone or Computer, etc.

So I am not really sure what you want?

regarding WP business support... your totalay right that is SUCKS .. WM actually offered more Tools ( office mobile had mroe options and features )

but i think MS is aware of that .. and it wasn't set as the priority..

MOST people now a dayz want multimedia GADGETS ( less business ) BUT like i said MS is aware of the business needs and i can only Assume that WP8 Apollo ( this years update ) will hopefully add mroe support for Office mobile..

Another thing to note is that the tablets coming will be a tablet version of Windows 8, not Windows Phone 8.

Apollo may yet provide further Office integration on Windows Phones, especially given the arrival of larger (4in+) devices, but Microsoft are incredibly (unbearably) tight lipped about it at the moment though.

from what i hear, apollo is going to be more business oriented update, so i think u can rest easy on that part

even better news Nokia said they have plans for each carrier and hand sets are set to come out "soon", i dont know how soon that is going to be but im sure sprint will be getting something in first half of this year... now go bash sprint for being so incompetent lol

i was like u until CES announced 800 and 710 for us canadians, i just got my wp7 and im telling u its sweet, the year is just begining

So what is your actual complaint? That Sprint doesn't have good devices? Office doesn't have enough features?

Maybe you're a serious Office user. Fair enough. For me, typing a few things into OneNote or making small edits in word are generally all I would want to do on a phone.

For devices on Sprint, you can blame Sprint for that. They are the ones responsible for choosing which devices to have in their lineup. I moved to AT&T for similar reasons. They just have the best WP7 devices.
