Games in the app list.

Anybody know of a way to remove games from showing up in my app list?

I am not a gamer but kept a few dumb games on my phone for my most bored moments. I liked that they were tucked away in the Games app and seen nowhere else!

yeah this one really puzzled me, I thought I missed some settings somewhere but I guess that's a modification for 8.1... My app list now takes 12 swipes to get to the bottom of the list, they need to change this back ASAP

Not a huge fan myself, but not a deal breaker. Strangely it was one of the things people asked for when Windows phone first came out. Why would the number of series to get to the bottom of your app list bother you? Do you not jump to the first letter of the app you are looking for?

For me it's purely vanity, not swipes. I liked my app list to reflect the sophisticated guy I am, I didn't want anybody looking at my phone to know I like to play Squirrel :wink:

I've noticed this as well and think they should have a toggle switch so that you can decide if you want it like this, or the old style. I'm tending towards liking the old style with all games under the Games program.

I hear you guys. The other bad step here is the way the "Games App" now works. I open it and it updates the list each time. I too preferred my games tucked away in the "Games App" and was kinda hoping that the Desktop version of Windows 8.1 would follow suit and do the same kind of thing. Oh well I guess we can't get everything. If anything it will nudge me to uninstall some of the 50+ games I have installed that are making swiping through my app list a bit of a nightmare.

I would say this is the most annoying change in 8.1. I really liked having my games and apps in different places since they do not have a folder system. The least Microsoft could of done was place a toggle switch to choose where the Games appear.

Maybe those Xbox app refreshing itself everytime opened its because it's now a standalone app?? Some update should be able to make the refresh feels seamless though... Well, at least now we know it'll be easier to fix problem now though.

I seen someone else's Lumia 720 8.1 can't even open their games hub.. Says "Can't open that, try again later" what's wrong with these incomplete replacements app???
