GDR2 Update for 8X

Sorry if this has already been asked before,

Does anyone know the release date for the forthcoming GDR2 update for the 8x

I wish there were a date. Everywhere it is written very soon, which is an upgrade from "soon" a week back. So we should see this rolling out to all windows phones, the only thing which matters is country wise release cycle. SOme countries receive it earlier than others. It won't be long.

Living in Berlin, Germany and just got the update on unbranded HTC 8X using E-Plus/BASE as my provider.

Hi from Turkey. I have unlocked 8X and downloading GDR2 Update


edit: My battery is low, phone tells me wait until charge After install, i will write changes here.

Update notification is:-
Microsoft Update 8.0.10327.77
HTC Update for Windows Phone
Microsoft Update 8.0.10322.71

So, looks like two cumulative OS updates then...

Wonder what the HTC update is....

Only two differences notices so far

1) No more "quietly brilliant" on the HTC boot screen
2) Radio in the Music hub.

Microsoft is discriminating against HTC, so HTC does not matter to this platform. No exclusive apps, no exclusive changes to OS.

Official YouTube app is deleted because of re-install request from OS update. How can i re-install this app without marketplace download, means .xap installing, how ?

You might want to obscure your IMEI and Mac address there, just to be on the safe side...

I have an unbranded 8x in Turkey. Jst upfated the phone with no problem.

Do I see FM app. at 8X is that device?
At settings the only new menu is the additional call settings that its empty.
