I have this error on NCS when trying to flash... Failed: Variant package for requested Sw. version 3047.0000.1326.2002 not found.
Any ideas?

I have some dumb questions so here goes, probably even dumber if I did not ask.

Since there are so many varieties from other countries etc, if I install one from France/China/India, is it possible my phone will be locked to a different carrier? Will it be unlocked, or will I simply have to select my language?

Also if something goes wrong can I simply install the one already in my products folder, BTW it is only 458 megabytes not compressed. For some reason it is in a folder rm-821 but is 1232.5962.1314.001 which is what is on my phone now. Thanks

I compared to my previous files.

Name your files as following:

Okay figured this one out finally.

The way above his how you name all your 11 files.

1. Then switch off the phone.
2. Click Update.
3. It won't find phone.
4. Will ask to do Vol down + power and vibra thingy - connect your phone and hold those things.
5. It will fail once.
6. Then again Vol down + power and vibra thingy will pop up.
7. This time as soon as it vibrates, hit RETRY.

If your pop up says "rebooting" - you are in

Tried renaming files as directed. Error. So ran as well as re-installed NCS in compatibility mode (as someone in the forums suggested). Still Error. Nothing has worked for me so far. I am using Windows 8 on my laptop. Please help, I need Amber
Note: I have followed your guide of renaming the files too.

This is the exact error that pops up each time I hit 'Start': C:\ProgramData\Nokia\Packages\Products\RM-821\RM821_059S6R5_3047.0000.1326.2002_068.vpl has invalid signature.

in my experience, changing to a global ROM won't unlock a phone. I change an unlocked Lumia 800 once to a branded rom, it stayed unlocked. sim locking shouldn't be affected by these ROM updates (I would prefer it did, so a ROM flash would unlock phones)

that seems nothing new. ppl have 1314 on device before GDR2. Newest should be 1327 /1328

i have an question for eveybody with lumia 920 and the Amber update, do you think if comapre to any video or picture your glance screen is it white or grey?! mines is like really dark. i cant do nothing about it. but everywhere i see the glance screen the clock is really good visible, at my lumia 920 it is really grey color not even white, and really dark

you have maybe the same ROM like me, is your clock on the glance screen really white or something greyish?! if i compare mines to any other picture of the glance screen, even the same angle mines is at 30% maybe of that brightness.

here is my picture, i think compared to others glance screens on lumia 920 (video or pictures on the same angle or even in front) mines is always darker:

Can it be that the people made this ROM to behave like this?! it is the French unbranded version.
