They already said this is for 1080p screens only

I've seen it mentioned before for 1280x768 screens multiple times... Maybe it's a setting? Then again it could in fact be 1080 only.

No cert install or dev unlock required for me on my ATT 920. Just installed the app, logged in with a dev account, accepted contract, and I've got GDR3 installing.

Yeah, they said that you only have to meet 1 of the 3 requirements

Gears still spinning. Stuck at 10% around. Atleast it's showing a progress bar this time. Never mind it's not moving.

Worst Progress bar ever. Stayed on ~5% for about 15 minutes, then jumped to 100%. Oh well, at least it finished

That's what 'people' said but Microsoft said its for the new 1080p phones

One thing that i noticed while installing is that there is a progress line in the "gears of death" now giving you a status of how long it will take.. That is a welcome readdition (it was present on WP7 updates)

I wish this update includes the multiple tile select and move. I think that's for 8.1 blue, right? It's odd for me that they would have some of these new functions/gestures for Win8 first then WP. But I guess more ppl use Win8 than WP.

I've only seen Microsoft mention it on screen sizes. It's for the bigger 6" devices. I haven't seen anything about resolution. I think if someone released a 720p 6" device, it would have the extra column.

you should not have the dev center app, you need to download Preview for Developers app! Dev Center is completely different

Bittersweet shimmer is additional firmware upgrades provided by Nokia for Lumias, this is an OS update, similar to how portico (GDR1) was to the original WP8
