Getting 10586.29 Update

am getting the 10586.29 update even though my device is not enrolled in the Insider program. Anyone else seeing this?

May be. It's finished downloading now. Interesting that they pushed this outside of the fast ring so fast. I'll post an update after it's installed completely.

Adding to PAnkaj's answer..

VineRider.. are you situated in the UK? one of our ambassadors reported yesterday that he was getting an update to his 930. Mi thinks they're testing to find any possible bugs when pushing out w10m to the UK users.

If you do end up with w10m without being an insider, then that is probably one of those bugs they were looking for

I'm in the US, so not sure if that's connected or not. We also just got pushed a 3 updates for Windows 10 over here as well. Looks like it may be a busy day on Windows Update. I'll post after the update is complete.

Also, my 950 is a single SIM AT&T branded phone.

Interesting! I think the 950/xl/550 were allowed to download the latest insider builds starting yesterday.. Did you check if you have the windows insider app installed?

I can confirm my ATT 950 is not enrolled in insider program and it's currently recieving the update to ,29 as well.

Is this the end to carrier updates?

I have the app installed, but I had not enrolled the phone in the update. I checked in the "about" section of the app and it confirmed the device was not enrolled in preview builds

I just checked and saw that this same update is available for me. I'm on AT&T, so this is definitely a pleasant surprise.

I probably wouldn't mind this for slow ring builds but I'd like to keep the option to not receive fast ring builds. I'm yet to receive the update and am uninstalling the insider app to see if that helps prevent me from getting it. I have it installed but not set to receive preview builds.

Update finished. Phone is up and running on 10586.29. No problems at all doing the upgrade. Total process from initial download to install complete was about 45 minutes

My dual sim XL is downloading the update now. Not enrolled in the insider program on this phone.

My att 950 is attempting to download the update. Still stuck at 0 percent I think their servers are getting hammered.

I'm in the US, not enrolled in anything, and didn't have auto-updating checked. I checked for an update (last check was at 9 this morning), and 10589 was available. It stayed on 0% for 5-10 minutes and is now downloading updates -took about 20 minutes from first check to get to 100% download. Now "preparing to install", and is showing 2% for a few minutes. Look forward to update making my "phone work even better". After a week of learning, about the only things I need are double-tap on Glance, and Groove Music improvements. Excellent, pleased otherwise for a new, first device with a new OS. Now 20% of "preparing" at about 25 minutes since launch. Gonna go brew some coffee and enjoy the anticipation...

I just got the update which took about 40 minutes to finish. Checked for app updates afterward and there was an update for Outlook Mail and Skype for Business available. I downloaded the insider program but haven't opened it so don't think I am part of the program yet. I was in the old WP8.x but was hesitant on WM10 with my new 950.

about the only things I need are double-tap on Glance

Word of advise, this is something you may never get. Microsoft has never spoken about enabling it in a future update neither did they advertise it during the launch.
