Hi everyone,

Just joined and let me give a brief background. I am a Nokia fan, owned various devices, currently on C3(I know, very old :L) and did go for the 920 last August. But due to issues with the carrier and receiving 3 phones with faults enough was enough and cancelled the contract with Vodafone. So still on C3 I have been wanting to get the 1520 for a while. But been quite busy with other things so not really had time to look in depth until recently.

I have went in store and seen the device in person and in my honest opinion it is not even big for me, however will be purchasing it off Amazon as in store it is ?500+ where as off Amazon its about ?350. Weird right?

Any who I have a few questions.
If I were to go for Windows Phone 8.1 developer edition, would it void the warranty?
If it did void the warranty and then I went to Windows Phone 8.1 Official edition would warranty be instated?
I understand that Nokia Phones division is now Microsoft Devices, I am a bit skeptical with how things pan out, but aren't we all?
And if anyone can find out, I saw a review done with with Windows Phone 8.1, had batman logo as background and looked awesome... Anyone know who it was? :P

I'll be purchasing the 1520 next Wednesday! Glad to be on board soon!

Thank you! Cleared up a lot of things now! First thing I'm going to do is go straight update to WP 8.1 ;)
Although the regard to batman was someone did a review on WP 8.1, his background on his WP was a batman logo that looked awesome! And blended extremely well with the Phone.

My 1520 was running 8.1 when everything went to Hades in a hand basket. lol It had nothing to do with 8.1 though. Went to Nokia/Microsoft's support website, found out that my phone was still under warranty (even though I purchased it off of Ebay), and sent it in for repair. Three days after they received it, and my 1520 is already repaired and on its way back to me. I was freaking out when my phone first started acting oddly because I was using 8.1 via Dev Preview, but the topic was never brought up. The entire process took place on their website. Can't wait to get it back. :)
So, long story short...I don't think running 8.1 Dev Preview does anything to your warranty as long as your repair can be handled through Nokia/Microsoft.

I am not sure about that logo but here is the complete review of windows phone 8.1 on wpcentral Windows Phone 8.1 Review | Windows Phone Central

Welcome to WPCentral! Looks like you're well on your way. The only phone I can think of with a Batman logo was a limited version of the 925 if I remember right. Or was that Superman?
