Getting a 1320

Stefan:

Just a question or two...
How is the size of the phone? I'm a back pocket of the jeans guy, any discomfort in putting the phone in a pocket?
Also do you have large, med, or small hands?? I am med size, which is to say I can't palm a basketball, or small fingers on a med palm.

I am also coming from a Nokia 1020 and want the bigger screen as my old eyes are failing me. If I now bump up the text size for sms and whatsapp the message bubbles look weird on the smaller screen. How does texting look with all that screen?????

Also I am glad you like your new phone !!!!! I hope it serves you well over the coming years !!!

Size of the phone is actually quite good. I have what one would call medium hands (well by men's size) and its not too difficult maneuvering the device. I've moved around with it in my back pocket but never I a sitting position..that's just a sure way to break your phone. Lol. Front pocket is cool. Well given one does not over do it with the skinny jeans. Even though the screen is a massive 6", the ppi is only around 245ppi.. So text and in your case messaging apps, scales well. It's not tiny to strain your eyes. Chat bubbles are an adequate size.. My eyes are perfect so I'll prefer if chat bubbles were a little smaller..but its not a deal breaker for me.

Here a chatpage of Whatsapp
It looks the same on every phone, only a tiny big larger.
You know you can resize the fonts?

Thank you for a screen grab !!!
Yes I know I can adjust the font size in settings. I have tried it on the 1020 and it has helped some, but like I said the chat bubbles just become weird.

Thus the need to have a bigger screen, and as the 1520 will not work with Wind here in Canada, the 1320 is my next option. I will then just use my 1020 as a Camera and Music Player.

The 1520 the next big thing.
Why isn't supported?
But from what i heard and read is that the screen from the 1320 is brighter and runs longer on a battery load.
The only thing what i like better is the camera. ;)

Got the same feeling about my wife's Note.
At first i thought it was huge, but now......
5" is still a great size but i like the 6" better.

You'll feel extreme speed difference between them Windows Phone is a really good optimized OS which runs pretty smooth on 512MB RAM however since you know how 2GB will handle the OS you may be disappointed with the lags and "resuming" screens.

Lags and resuming?
The only time i had the resuming problem was with the "new" lockscreenapp.
The kiddycornertrick resolved that issue and never saw it again.
Now must i say i am not a app junky, so no heavy stuff on my phone ;-)

As for the SD card issue... I had that problem when I bought my 1320, I tried everything but in the end it was SD card that was not functional. So, no big deal there, buy a new one. Trust me, I tried another SD card :)
