Getting the People Live Tile to work on Mobile Build 10166

I noticed a lot of people having trouble getting the people live tile to actually show pictures instead of blank circles in 10166. I've also seen a lot of instances where it is working and on the same phones as the ones where it doesn't work.

Please post here if you were actually able to get your live tile to function in the people app and how you did it. I've tried syncing facebook contacts, twitter, gmail, outlook and nothing works. Over 75% have pictures. I also tried pinning and unpinning that did not work, along with adding random pictures to people's contact info.

Mine own wasnt working on tbis new build. I tried resizing the app and all but no luck. Whag i did though was to inpin it from the start screen, pin it again in the wide tile format and then restart my device. Then it began to work.

Mine wasn't working and just started working out of the blue. Might have been the multiple restarts and soft resets

Mine didn't work initially. Then yesterday I see Gabriel Aul and co rolling around without me doing anything (Twitter and Facebook connected).
Maybe it takes awhile to gather all pictures and edit them into circles. That's my guess.

Mine has worked from the beginning. I didn't upgrade from another build, I went from 8.1 to 10.10166. So far my only issue with 10166 is Gmail won't sync.

Mine didn't work at first but I picked my phone up this morning and there wee the animations must have done something to itself overnight!

On mine, doesn't work at the beginning, but it works fine after opened it at the app lists.

The People Live Tile with the photo collage form 8.1 probably had the biggest wow factor for the platform. In a lot of cases I think it's what got people to ask "what kind of phone is that?".

It's working on my 1520, but to my eyes, with the little circles bouncing around in the box like a bunch of birthday balloons pasted on them, its childish and distracting.

On my L1520, too, the circles are too small to really see who they are showing.

Mine just started working for the first time just this minute! woohoo looks excellent! Way better than the squares from 8.1 ))

mine wasn't working at all initially, I saw maybe two pictures and a bunch of empty moving circles. I tried a few things including removing accounts under what's new. That didn't have an effect, but this morning pictures all of a sudden showed up.

guess it's a crapshoot when and how you get them.

I know mine showed up 2 days after install on my 929 and 3 days later on my 822. But they are both working great now!

Mine worked once I opened up the peoples app

I dunno if I like it.. it seems a little un fitting, I think circles can look nice in a live tiles, but I don't think this is it.

They even only have 2 full people faces at a time on a medium tile, that sucks

Gmail not syncing was killing me, it does its initial sync which was nice, but won't update normally . So in the mean time I pinned gmail website to my home page.

As for OP question, I was also like you in going from 8.1 to 10166, and my people tile has worked since the beginning.

I have had this build installed since day one, but the people tile is still empty. Everyone is going to think I have no social life
