We know WP8 saved gif files successfully but the album coudnt move it, instead just shows you the first frame of the gif.
In wp8 you can check it by downloading the Gif Viewer app.
So does wp8.1 supports gif now ?
And flv in IE ?

The pictures hub do not support viewing GIF files, that's why you need a third party app.

IE can handle gifs though.

But no, FLV in IE is a long shot, maybe in Moliplayer

Anything saved by WP into the camera roll becomes a single page JPEG image. If you start with a multi-frame GIF or multi-page TIFF, it will take the first page and save it as a JPEG. You can view animated image files on WP (my Fast Image Viewer app does it), but you need to open the file directly with a 3rd party app since Microsoft treats every image file like a "photo".
