Glance according to MS website

Hi,

If you look here Nokia Lumia 930 - Specifications - Microsoft - UK in the "Design" part of the "Essentials" section - the Microsoft website says the LUMIA 930 has Glance screen. That's a typo or does it support Glance now?

Most likely a typo. It has been discussed before, the 930 does not have Glance because of hardware, not some software issues.

Actually it had Glance, I can easily submit proof if I go to my Vodafone center where the 930 is shown. I was disappointed when I bought the phone and it did not had Glance, because I saw it on the phone. I check the details and that phone is HW 1.0.0.1
The hardware revision 1.0.0.1 has Glance, because I think that is a different screen. Maybe they cut down the costs and used a different screen.
I brought my 930 to the store and my screen is brighter but that one is much more clearer while scrolling, mine does break the text on the app menu list when having black background, that one doesn't.
Btw my Lumia 930 is HW 2.0.0.2

No way! So they had a better screen with Glance before?! So many people having issues with their 2.0.0.2 screens...

Nokia / MS said that, they can implement Glance screen in 930 in future. But I doubt with current hardware limitation, if its possible

Looking to upgrade from my 920 to 930 this month.. Glance is one of my fav features, saves a ton of battery not having to turn my screen on to check. So does the 930 have glance or not??

Just get either 1520 or 830.

1520 is fine. But I won't consider 830 an alternative to 930, as it is a mid range device, so in terms of camera, hardware specification and other features, its not even closer to 930.

Just been looking, the 820 looks decent, but as an upgrade from the 920 I think the 930 would be far better option. Plus I just LOVE the look of the 930. I'll definitely really miss glance, but I'm pretty much sold on the 930 (plus the 1520 is too big!)

But the 1520 is.. and you'll get Glance AND micro SD card slot

You get used to the size of the 1520 real quick. I did.. and now I wouldn't want anything smaller! With the 1520, you get everything the 930 has to offer (same specs; CPU, camera, etc) plus you get Glance screen AND a micro SD card slot. 930<1520
