Somewhere on this forum I read that there is a type of screen that "turns off pixels for black color" and thus doesn't consume much battery (with black wallpaper for example). I have Lumia 928 and in darkness when I look at glance screen I know it doesn't turn off. I really don't care about it at all. But its interesting

What type of screen do I have, what screen(s) turns off pixels for black color, and which Lumia phones WITH Glance have that type of screen???

I know I could Bing/Google it, but my internet is very slow now, so it's easier for me to ask here

Thanx in advance

You have an OLED screen which displays only the pixels it needs to same as AMOLED, LCD or IPS LCD the whole screen demands power even displaying black.

Each non-black pixel is individually lit on an OLED panel; the panel doesn't have a backlight. The 820, 925, 928 and 1020 have AMOLED panels and Glance.
