Hi everyone,

Through fiddler I was able to install Glance but it won't let me activate it. Any kind of a workaround?

Thanks,

Sheik

521 does not have the hardware that is required for glance features to work :-(

What kind of hardware is required? Android devices with lower specs can do the almost exact same thing with daydream

Mostly it's a battery consumption issue due to the screen... Glance works on devices with AMOLED by only lighting the pixels needed. On LCD displays like the 521 you have to light the whole screen - even the black background.

There are some who think the 521 should get glance anyway, since it can be toggled by the user.

I mean, it could be implemented fairly easily as a splash screen that's active only while charging and remove the night mode. I'm sure there's a workaround for this, considering that the 620 doesn't have a true AMOLED display either (it's a TFT with ClearBlack) and it has Glance.

Again, this seems less a hardware limitation and more a software one

I installed it too through SysApp, but now I can't remove it! It is greyed out and inoperable.
