Hi

Is there now an issue with gmail contacts for gmail apps users ?

It all worked fine until I had to get a replacement phone. Identical model (Lumia 920).

The stuff I have read indicated that gmail was not going to be supported after 31 July 2013 EXCEPT for gmail apps users.

If syncing is not going to work, how do I import (and refresh periodiocally) from gmail contacts?

Thanks in hope.

No problems - full Gmail syncing does work - it was extended until the end of the year.

If you got a new (replacement) phone, it is possible that it has GDR2 (Amber) installed. The Google interaction changes with that to using CardDAV, but still supports syncing contacts.

You may be able to try and use the old method with Google by selecting Exchange as the Account type and then setting the advanced settings to m.google.com. Not sure if Microsoft counter working around selecting a Gmail account.

Should work using CardDAV or the older EAS (Exchange) method now anyway...

Some people also mention simply removing the account from the phone and re-adding it might fix things.
