Gmail "as items arrive" does not work

Hello all, I am facing the issue that although I set my gmail account as "As items arrive" and pin it to the start screen there is no notification when an e-mail comes. I also tried it for my live account but it runs without any problem.

Is there anyone having the same issue???

Yep, google is not playing nice with Microsoft so yeah. That option is actually disabled for newer updates ~_~

Try to delete that.

Yeah, I had the same problem. Even when I logged in on the computer Gmail would say I had no new mail... Until I searched the mail and found a bunch that just "never arrived".

I solved the problem by dropping Gmail and forwarding everything to my alternate hotmail. Everything works great and all my mail comes to me.

Edit: I used this guide from a while back* but still use google for voice.

Please forward your Gmail messages to your Live Email account and use the live mail sync in your windows phone.
Example:: You have Gmail account abc@gmail.com, forward this mail to Live Account like abc@live.com and add an live email account
to your windows phone and sync it as you wish.
