Google account stuck in sync

I unticked the checkbox for google to sync email and ever since then it has been stuck in syncing status. I have tried restarting the phone, doing a soft reset, switching to airplane mode and battery saver, and revoking the gmail access to my windows phone but i still cant remove the account.

I have also tried making a new connection but i get the error message that the account already exists on my phone. Is there any fix or workaround to remove the account or to get it to sync again? I dont want to have to do a hard reset since denim isnt release for the 1520 in my country yet (and i plan to do a reset then)

Turn on cellular then maybe turn off cellular. Then once email is highlighted again, press and hold on it and delete the account. Then reenter the account and it should work.

It doesnt work.. nothing i do makes it stop synching and i cant remove the account.

Do you have cellular on? May have to leave it on until its done syncing then delete the account and reenter it again.

Yeah I'm on wifi at home but on cellular when I'm out. It's been a few days and it still has the syncing status. I guess I need to do a hard reset..
