Gorilla glass is for the monkeys

My glass making friend says that curved glass is actually stronger than flat.

Only hope is with Samsung flexible SAMOLED display which would not shatter just absorb the impact a lot better then standard or gorilla glass :excited:

Only problem is, you still need a pane of glass over the flexible led screen.

Yeah the gorilla glass scratches a ton and breaks easy

My Galaxy S with 1st gen gorilla glass was far more scratch resistant and hardy, I think they realized making it strong just hurts their sales.

Gorilla Glass 2 if I remember correctly is supposed to be equal in strength to GG1 while also being thinner. I think the problem here is three fold: 1. The phone is damn heavy, which adds to the force of impact, 2. The glass protrudes out from the phone, making it an easier target and 3. The glass may not be thick enough for its application.
