Got an email from MSFT Saying Official 8.1 being released

It said to check with your provider on when it will be released but Verizon doesn't know anything. Anyone else get this or heard anything?

The only email I got for Windows Phone was one saying something about a free cup of coffee for joining Bing Rewards, but no coffee for me since I've belonged to Bing Rewards for about 2 years already.

Ok so the question is has anyone been successful with finding out any information regarding official release from their provider? The WP suite was updated and there are many problems and I'm surprised they haven't fixed them yet. Or...if these are the updates to accommodate the true release?? Just an idea.

The girl in the picture is holding the phone upside down. Maybe the 8.1 update helps you take pictures with the volume buttons.
