This isn't exactly an introduction as I've been semi active in the Windows Phone Central forums for a little bit now but I recently just traded my Z10 for a Lumia 928 so this is my official "introduction to Windows Phone" thread. So far I really do like it. It is definitely a bit heavier than the Z10 but I like the size. I enjoy the Live Tiles and I have never used a smartphone camera that was this good before. Of course there are a few things I miss about BB10. I miss the multitasking, the Hub, and the blinking light to some extent but I am glad that I have an actual app ecosystem now.
The change to Windows Phone is kind of big for me. I have been wanting to try one for a bit now. I have had BlackBerry phones since my first smartphone (with a brief stint with Android that didn't last long) so having something that is different feels...different. And that's what Windows Phone is. It really is something truly different from any other OS. The Live Tiles really are genius and I've gotten a ton of compliments about my phone and Windows Phone in the 3 days that I've owned it.
I am looking forward to Windows Phone 8.1 and the notification center. I would also really like for a 1520 sized device to come to Verizon but it doesn't appear that will be the case. My upgrade has been due since August and I wanted to try a Windows Phone before I used my upgrade. So far I really like it. My plans were to get the 929 on release but I might hold on to this and see what else is to come. You should see me around these forums a lot more now that I actually have a Windows Phone!
