Short answer NO

Long answer No, Xbox controllers don't use Bluetooth. They use a proprietary form of Wi-Fi to communicate with the console or the receiver for PC.

Actually the new controller that comes with XO S has built in bluetooth. That's one of it's big selling points, but I was wondering will it connect to any bluetooth headset. Logically that would make, but MS tends to things that defy logic with their products. Ship in the Xbox One console with no Bluetooth compatibility was a big mistake.

The new controllers (both the custom Xbox One controllers via Design Lab and the ones that come with Xbox One S) have both the proprietary Xbox wireless protocol and Bluetooth.

For PCs, tablets, and phones, the controllers connect via Bluetooth. Alternatively, you can use the Windows Wireless Adapter to connect the new controllers (just like the old controllers).

For Xbox consoles, it uses the proprietary wireless protocol.
