Since AT&T seems to be dead last in the entire world to get the non XL Lumia 640, I started considering the XL.

The price felt like it was high for a 1GB phone with a 720p screen and an SD400... and after reassessing the value of the 1520 that feeling was confirmed. I really didn't want a phablet, but I decided I might as well get the best one... and promptly nabbed a mint condition Lumia 1520 for $170.

After the initial "****, this thing is BIG!!!" impression, the added real estate became really useful. Don't carry my Kindle anymore, gaming is fantastic, Hulu, PLEX, etc. are now practical, and I get to have LC5 without sacrificing LTE (L930 was killin' me there).

Um... I guess you didn't get the memo?

Walmart GoPhone 640 @ $80.

But I'd rather a 1520 all day, any day. So, kudos. Welcome to team BeastPhone[SUP]TM[/SUP].

Oh I got the memo alright... I was one of the first commenters the hour that story came out. But none of the Wal-Marts around here had it out early.

A part of me is still hunting for that 640 GoPhone, but I'd rather just wait til the wave of alleged flagships and see if Microsoft figures out how to stuff Lumia 1520 specs into a 5in phone without sacrificing the SD card slot.

After some time with a 1520 you may not want a 5" phone anymore, especially a 640.

The 5.7" spec has me a bit ticked as it is.

Agreed, I really hope that Microsoft realizes that us Lumia 1520 owners would really love another 6" flagship!

This is actually my second time owning a 1520... I love the size for multimedia and especially games, but typing on this (and just fitting it in my work formals) is insane... hence why I sold it the first time.

I could get used to it, and I want to... but I really just wanna see all this 1520 power packed into something that looks like the YEZZ Billy 4.7

Windows 10 has the smaller keyboard option. I keep mine tucked to the right side.

I pick my pants to fit my phone :)
