Has anyone had any luck getting remote security camera viewing?

I'm using a Q-See DVR. There's QT software on the other platforms and they suggested SuperCam for Windows phone but that doesn't work. I can view the raw html address on my Windows 8 browser on home system but I just get the background color on SuperCam. They wrote back telling me to wait for an update but wasn't sure who's update I was awaiting. I tried a load of other browsers I downloaded on the phone last night with no luck.
