Has anyone managed to crack their screen yet?

I dropped mine like 2 or 3 times on hard floor. Barely a scratch and I don't use any protector.

I dropped my 920 in the gym and it now has a small star shaped crack on the middle right edge of the screen.

Not problematic in use but was disappointed after all the hype about the screen :(

I actually used a dummy unit that I was given (by someone who apparently stole it from an ATT retailer and didn't know that it ran different software) He never came back for it so I decided to use it as a test unit. I'm compiling a video now but so far, I've thrown the Lumia as high as I can, run over it, dropped a hammer on it, hammered in a nail (of course) and put on a camera while my two year old played with it in the back yard (this includes burying it and frisbeeing it into a tree.) The phone's plastic is totally chipped away and the screen has quite a few scratches but has not managed to break yet. I'm trying to think of a big finale for it.

One drop onto kitchen tile and cracked the lower left corner diagonally. Subsequent drops beat up the back and dented a corner.

Then I completely list it and picked up a clean model off Craigslist!

My wife dropped hers from about 3ft in a parking lot and it shattered the screen. It was pretty upsetting, but the matter was resolved satisfactorily.

Pretty unscientific way of going about it I guess but safe to say it does take a beating then. I've dropped mine about 16 times mainly onto paving slabs from about 3 -4 feet and finally got a some scratches on the corner. Still beats an iPhone or Galaxy in the dropping stakes.

Dropped mine at least ten feet to concrete. (Holding chest level while walking down stairs) and it dented my corners a bit. But screen is fine.

Well until I went to the beach and got sand all over my phone.

To be fair, I'd dropped mine nearly daily before mine actually smashed. Everything was looking great until it got flung out of the car.

my iPhone 5 has proven itself pretty resistant to fall damage...I've been happy with both's resiliency

My 920 dropped from my hand less than a meter onto ceramic tiles in my bedroom and the screen is cracked in multiple places. Its working perfectly fine and no other scratches anywhere on the device except for the screen. I am disappointed, only had the phone for 2 weeks.

Mine is all good, but there are numerous phones around the office with Gorilla Glass 2, that have been smashed very easily, so i'm paranoid about mine!

I smashed my 900's screen on some blacktop. It fell face down. The phone still works but the glass is a mess. I replaced the phone. Good thing my renters insurance covers phones!

You haven't seen any iPhone 5 drop tests, have you?

It'll take a beating... as long as it doesn't fall flat on the screen on tile or concrete. I have a white one that I dropped on flat-- screen down-- on tile from about chair height. Yup, shattered screen. Sad because the rest of the phone is perfect. oh well. I now switch between a black 920 and an HTC 8x. I love them both and can't decide which one to use. #1stWorldProblems
